We always welcome new volunteers for Prairie Festival.

Committee Members: We meet once per month beginning in January to plan. We can always use more people with great ideas to make each festival the best yet!

Info Booth, Wristband and T-shirt Sales: Volunteers will sit at the information booth helping to sell tshirts and wristbands.

Beer Tent Ticket Sales: Volunteers will help sell tickets for beer sales.

Beer Tent Servers: Volunteers will help serve beer on Friday and Saturday night.

 

Alpacas

Bring the kids out to Memorial Park on Saturday, August 26th from 12-4pm to visit with the Alpacas.

Vendor Fair

The annual Vendor Fair will be held on Saturday, August 26th from 11am-3pm.

Come on out to the Vendor Fair to see what our local sellers have for you!

BINGO

Come out and support the Huxley Public Library at BINGO. Games start after the parade in the Entertainment Tent.

Cards are 50 cents each.

Dunk Tank

Come out on Saturday to S Main Ave and Railway to dunk your favorite group. Dunking will start after the parade.

This is a great fundraiser for your group. The group keeps the money raised during their time slot. If interested in a time slot please contact Seth at:

Eating Contests

We’ll have 2 eating contests again this year!

First, right after the parade come over to Railroad Park Amphitheater to see the Huxley Fire Department vs the Slater Fire Department. They will try to out each other on wings donated by BFabulous BBQ.

Our 2nd contest is sponsored by the Huxley Historical Society. Stay at the Amphitheater for the Pie Eating Contest. They will have contests for the kids.

Video Game Trailer

Play video games in air conditioned comfort. Game On Iowa will be out with their 32′ trailer which has 7 Huge Hi-Definition TV’s, and all the best consoles and the best video games! 28 guests can play at once! Stadium-style seating means there’s room for a crowd.

Participants must have a Saturday or weekend wristband.

When: Saturday, August 26th from 11am-10pm

Where: Railroad Park

Wristband prices are:

Age 2 and under – $5/day or $10/weekend.

Age 3 and up – $10/day or $15/weekend.

Laser Tag – Age 8+ (on Saturday only) – $5 extra charge
